Keynote: CCUS Commercial Deployment: What Will It Take to Make It Happen?
George R. Brown Convention Center - General Assembly A
Wednesday, 13 March 2024, 8:15 a.m.–9:00 a.m. | Houston, Texas
For Houston to remain the energy capital, it must expand its focus to lead not just in energy production and conversion, but also the energy transition. As one part of that, the region must lead in making CCUS a viable commercial enterprise, building on our current advantages and ensuring we can meet future challenges. This talk is based on results of a recent whitepaper published by the University of Houston CCME which focuses on identifying the future need for infrastructure, workforce, and supply chain investment needed for CCUS development, based on different emission reduction targets for 2050.
