Course Content

This course provides an introduction to Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) utilizing concepts related to oil and gas geoscience and reservoir engineering. This course will cover the need for CCS, different capture and storage technologies, how CO2 can be safely and securely stored in underground reservoirs.

At the end of the course, participants will understand the CCS value chain, the characteristics of CO2 for subsurface storage, key considerations for safe and secure CO2 storage in the subsurface and be able to carry out high-level screening of reservoirs for CO2 storage.
